How we select products
We only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful for rainwater harvesting. Before a product is added to the shop or mentioned in a guide, we look at build material, real-world capacity versus advertised capacity, warranty terms, and how easy the install is for an average homeowner. Good Ideas was selected because of their track record building rain barrels, not through a paid placement deal.
Our review methodology
Legal information is sourced directly from state statutes, water agencies, and government fact sheets, with citations linked wherever possible. Product information comes from manufacturer specifications cross-checked against customer feedback and, where possible, our own setup experience.
If something changes, a law, a product spec, a price, we update the page rather than leave it stale.

Every legal claim on this site links back to the statute, agency, or study it came from. If you spot something outdated or incorrect, tell us through the contact page and we will review and correct it.
